F1: Testing! Testing! Tweeting! Testing!

What Happens When You Know It’s Been Too Long

11:09am EST — While it has been less than a week since the first Formula1 test session concluded in Valencia with Ferrari and Fernando Alonso topping the charts and amount of laps done, the lull between that test and tomorrow’s four day test in Jerez has seemed bereft of excitement (never mind two team launches, addendum and explanations to rules, driver contract rumors, etc.).  Last week’s test was rife with excellent (and apparently spontaneous) tweeting from the teams and journalists present.  Autosport says they will be providing the live coverage they began on the second day of Valencia’s test for this week.

Testing begins again with three more teams in the garages and on-track.  Every team but LotusF1, Campos, and USF1 will be testing this week.  LotusF1 has been quite active in ensuring that the press and public know that they are doing just fine (team owner Tony Fernandes, quite literally, just tweeted “Shakedown started. Quite a few tears.”)  Still, ten of the thirteen team entries will be together for the next four days.  The following is the provisional driver schedule for the test.
