What Will Wednesday Bring For Renault?

What Happens When the News Sounds, Well, Interesting

12:12am EST — According to Renault, Wednesday brings news about the company’s future in F1.  Multiple sources have published stories detailing what will be discussed at the press conference in Paris, but James Allen of ITV seems to have the most detailed on his personal blog.  Apparently, Renault the car manufacturer will sell its 75% share of the team that bears its name to Gerard Lopez, while continuing to supply engines for two years and keep the name Renault on the team for 2010.

Lopez is a venture capital investor who seems to be looking to make money from investing in F1, which seems like both a risky and silly venture, but Bernie Eccelstone has done alright for himself over the years.  Look for the full story when it breaks Wednesday.
